(a)   A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City being marked and designated as the Wichita/Sedgwick County Unified Building & Trade Code, Adopted Resolution #175-2012, December 11, 2012, Latest Changes – Adopted Resolution #167-2020, December 2, 2020, as modified below (“UBTC”), is hereby adopted by the City, with certain exceptions set forth below, for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings, and structures within the corporate boundaries of the City, and each and all of the regulations, provisions, licenses, permits, penalties, conditions and terms of said UBTC, including those incorporated by reference in the UBTC, are hereby referred to, adopted and made a part hereof by reference, as if fully set out in this Section, with the exception of the following:

No fewer than three copies of the UBTC shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as adopted by the City of Kechi, Kansas” and to which shall be attached a copy of this ordinance, and shall be filed with the City Clerk to be opened to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours of business.

(b)   The City hereby “opts-in” to the UBTC and shall be included in the definition of the Sedgwick County Jurisdiction as provided therein.
