A CHARTER ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO PRIMARY ELECTIONS WITHIN THE CITY OF KECHI, KANSAS AND RESCINDING THE PROVISIONS OF CHARTER ORDINANCE NUMBER 9 PERTAINING TO THE SAME SUBJECT

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF KECHI, KANSAS:

SECTION 1. The City of Kechi, Kansas under the authority of Article 12, Section 5, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, and by Charter Ordinance 9, previously exempted itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2108a. The City of Kechi, Kansas hereby rescinds the provisions of Charter Ordinance Number 9, which was passed by the Governing Body on the 7th day of April, 1983.

SECTION 2. Primary elections for the City of Kechi, Kansas shall be governed by the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2101 et seq. to specifically include K.S.A. 25-2108a.
