There is hereby adopted and incorporated by reference, for the purpose of establishing rules and regulations applicable to 1 and 2 family dwellings, Chapters 1-10 of the International Residential Code, 2006 Addition.  Such Code shall be applicable to the construction, alteration, removal, demolition, equipment, use and occupancy, location and maintenance of single family and two family dwellings within the City of Kechi, Kansas as codified by Resolution No. 262-07 of the Code of Sedgwick County, Kansas.  Such Code, as amended by Sedgwick County, Kansas shall be made a part of the Ordinances of the City of Kechi as if the same had been set out in full herein, all as authorized and in the manner prescribed by K.S.A. 12-3009 through 12-3012 including any amendments thereto.  No fewer than three copies of Sedgwick County Resolution No. 262-07 as well as the International Residential Code, 2006 Addition shall be marked or stamped “Official Copy as Incorporated by the Code of the City of Kechi, Kansas” and shall be filed with the City Clerk to be opened to inspection and available to the public at all reasonable hours of business.  Any person violating any provisions of such Code shall be punished as provided for in Section 1-116 of the Code of the City of Kechi.
